One of my friends is currently the most beautiful pregnant women. See? I wasn’t exaggerating. If you have been reading here for awhile, you have probably already seen Craig and Christine get engaged, get married, and now they are expecting their first child. Last week we met up for some photos of this beautiful, happy, expectant time.
^^We took one almost like this the day they got married, only minus the snow and the baby bump! Congratulations Craig and Christine – can’t wait to meet that little babe!

Not only because it is expensive (though, holy cow) or because there are endless mountains of paperwork (gross), but because it forces you to define who you are as a family, and then put money behind that definition. It forces hard conversations about values and priorities and spending habits and schools and careers and communities. It forces you to take stock of how you are allocating your time, money, and energy. Yes, a family is the people in it, but the space where those people live out their commitment to each other matters. Lots of hard conversations over the past couple months, and lots of good realizations. Ready for a new home and a new stage. (This is not the home, btw, but it sure is the embodiment of my color loving soul.)
