Lately, on InstagramThe last couple weeks (months? years?) have had a lot of career angst for me, a lot of mixed feelings about where I’m at professionally, compared to personally. This isn’t an announcement or a revalatiin, just a show of solidarity to all the people out there sitting in coffee shops or cubicles or kitchen tables and not totally knowing what you are doing. When any of you figure out the balance between what you want and need and have to give up- you go ahead and clue me in.Happiness is fresh flowers in every room on this most Mondayest of Tuesday’s. And by fresh flowers in every room, I actually mean “James mowed the lawn, weed whacked, did laundry, scrubbed floors, and deep cleaned the kitchen before I rolled in late last night after 9 days away and today I am thrilled to realize I forgot to cancel my free amazon fresh trial so now, following ice cream for lunch and Pretzel Bakery breakfast, groceries will magically arrive while I catch up on BIP” - but I thought I would try to use what the internet likes to pretend is happiness, just in case you don’t share my understand of happiness meaning shiny floors and lazy groceries. It’s a metaphor. #itssimplytuesday
