Lately, on InstagramBeing pregnant during social distancing is kind of like being in a warped Victorian time trap where I have gone into confinement to obscure my delicate condition from the world. But since I’m hoping we are out before this baby shows up, here’s a little documentation to keep the shock at bay when I emerge in the full glory of my final weeks of pregnancy. 26 weeks 2 days, and officially capable of completely blocking sight of the toilet in this strategically cropped bathroom selfie. Not shown: the varicose veins so large they are visible through my pants, even from the mandated 6 feet away. But I did put on jeans today for the first time since house arrest so I am feeling pretty fancy. What’s your uniform these days- loungewear for life, or dress to impress [no one]?Shown: one kid dutifully taking her puppy for his daily work and the other excitedly stuffing his treasure box with untold wonders (read: sticks and rocks). Not shown: the mom who had a really bad attitude all day long about the way the world is at the moment.
